New TV contract for STCC with SVT live coverage

The STCC organisation announced a new TV contract today ahead of the 2013 season which includes live coverage on the state owned SVT channel.
“We have had a cooperation with STCC for the past few years where we have shown highlights of the races. We are going to continue to develop the broadcasts and deepen the content as we are going to broadcast live,” said Johan Ejeborg, Project Director of SVT Motorsport broadcasts.

The deal spans over two years where the races will be broadcasted live in SVT Play, on the web, as well as in one of the main channels SVT1 or SVT2.

“We are happy that SVT see STCC as an important sport to show to their viewers. SVT provides us with a reach with our live broadcasts that we never had before,” said Bob Huzell, Managing Director of STCC AB.

The first race on May 4th at Knutstorp is going to be broadcasted live at SVT1, starting at 14.00 CET.
