Problems for Tomas Engström in season opener qualifying

The problems for Tomas Engström continued in qualifying as the Honda driver spun and failed to rejoin the Q1 session.
“The power steering was too sensitive after we replaced it yesterday, so the car over compensated when I tried to correct a slide,” said Engström.

The spin ment that Engström’s so far best time only meant 14th position on the grid for both races in the season opener at Knutstorp.
“I hadn’t expected to be that very far up the order in the qualifying session, to make it to Q2 would have been great, keeping in mind our short programme ahead of the season start,” said Engström.

Engström Motorsport tested the new Honda Civic for the first time ever earlier this week and Engström’s aim is to finish both races.
“I am pleased if we just can finish the races with the car in one piece, anything other than that is a success,” said Engström.
