Penalties for Shedden and Jordan, no change to race results

Gordon Shedden and Andrew Jordan have both been given penalty points following today’s races at Snetterton – but no changes have been made to the race results.

West Surrey Racing appealed the result of the second race, when Eurotech Racing’s Jordan made contact with Colin Turkington at Williams while battling for the lead on lap 11.

The stewards rejected their appeal, and the result was allowed to stand. However, Jordan was given two penalty points on his licence for an incident with Honda Racing Team’s Shedden at Agostini on lap five.

The stewards also investigated the incident between Shedden and Turkington in race three, where the two made contact at Agostini on lap eight.

The result was again allowed to stand, but Shedden was given a £500 fine, and three penalty points on his licence, for driving in a manner incompatible with general safety.
