Honda Civic Tourer on track for the first time

The new Honda Civic Tourer has had its first track run, completing its first laps at Rockingham Motor Speedway yesterday.

The new Honda Racing Team machine was driven by double BTCC champion Matt Neal at the Northamptonshire circuit, as the team starts testing in earnest ahead of the start of the season.

The team’s marketing and commercial director, Rich Tait-Harris, took to Twitter to describe the car as “awesome” and later tweeted: “Honda Tourer just sounds absolutely mega!”

The car marks the first occasion an estate car has raced in the BTCC since the Volvo 850 in 1994.
