Soft tyre choices announced for Donington races

Dunlop has announced the drivers’ soft tyre choices for today’s three races at Donington Park – but it could be for nothing if the heavy rain which has swept over the Leicestershire circuit this morning returns

The bad weather forecast for later in the day arrived before 9am, soaking the track before the first of the BTCC’s support races.

In the event of wet weather, the drivers’ tyre choice carry over until the next dry race.

As with Brands Hatch, the majority of drivers have opted to run the soft tyre in the third race of the day.

The choices are as follows:

Race one: Lea Wood, Hunter Abbott, Jack Clarke

Race two: Fabrizio Giovanardi

Race three: Andrew Jordan, Matt Neal, Colin Turkington, Mat Jackson, Alain Menu, Rob Collard, Simon Belcher, Dan Welch, Aiden Moffat, Dave Newsham, Nick Foster, James Cole, Glynn Geddie, Chris Stockton, Martin Depper, Jack Goff, Adam Morgan, Warren Scott, Aron Smith, Ollie Jackson, Gordon Shedden, Robb Holland, Tom Ingram, Sam Tordoff, Jason Plato, Rob Austin, Marc Hynes.
