Emma Kimiläinen pleased after first STCC test

Emma Kimiläinen took part in her first ever STCC test at Knutstorp earlier this week and was pleased after the three days.
”I am very pleased with this start and everything just feels very good right now,” said Kimiläinen.

The 24-year-old improved her pace throughout the test days and was about eighth tenths of a second from the fastest time in the end.
”I have never before tested for three days in a row and that was very useful. I got into the driving quickly and we were able to quickly start working on finding changes to the car. We found some changes towards the end that payed off well,” said Kimiläinen.

Kimiläinen drives a Saab 9-3 for PWR Racing, with official backing from new Saab owners Nevs, and is hoping to learn the new type of car quickly when the season starts.
”The car reminds me a lot of the single seaters that I have driven before and it is fast which often suits me well. I have some things to improve and I am really looking forward to the season start and the races,” said Kimiläinen.

The STCC season starts on May 9-10 at Knutstorp.
