Ollie Jackson’s Proton ready for Oulton Park

Welch Motorsport has completed the repair works of Ollie Jackson’s Proton Gen-2 and will be on the grid for this weekend’s British Touring Car Championship races at Oulton Park.

Jackson went off track at the very fast Church corner at Thruxton four weeks ago and hit a tree at 95 mph, an impact measuring 12.5G. While Jackson was unhurt, the car was badly damaged.

The team was uncertain earlier this week whether the repair work would be completed in time, but team owner and driver Dan Welch tweeted a confirmation that the car has been completed earlier today.

The BTCC weekend at Oulton Park starts tomorrow at 09.30 BST with Free Practice.
