Mattias Andersson closes in on Fredrik Ekblom in Falkenberg test two

Dacia Dealer Team driver Mattias Andersson closed on Volvo Polestar Racing driver Fredrik Ekblom in the second STCC test session at Falkenberg.

Andersson was just 70 thousands of a second from the fastest time and topped the time sheets in the closing stages of the session. But Ekblom replied with a couple of minutes left and posted this weekend’s so far fastest lap time of 43.070.

Richard Göransson was again third fastest with his Team Tidö prepared Saab 9-3, 0.190 seconds from Ekblom’s time.

Fredrik Larsson was fastest of the BMW driver in fourth position, just 0.054 seconds ahead of reigning champion Thed Björk who continues to struggle to match his team mate’s lap times.

Team Kia duo Linus Ohlsson and Mattias Lindberg claimed positions six and seven, about half a second from the top time. Philip Forsman and Andreas Wernersson was eighth and ninth respectively, with Prince Carl Philip Bernadotte, who had to end the session early due to technical problems, rounding off the top ten.
