#RacingforHeroes joins BTCC grid for 2015
The 2015 British Touring Car Championship will see a new team, fielded by Stirling Motorsport Management, working alongside Help for Heroes to help raise awareness and funds for the charity.
The team, named #RacingforHeroes, will be in action across five championships on the TOCA package, participating in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, Ginetta GT4 Supercup, Renault Clio Cup, the new MSA Formula Championship and the BTCC itself.
Piloting the BTCC car, the make and model of which is still to be announced, will be 23-year-old Josh Cook, a BRDC Rising Star who finished second in the 2014 Renault Clio Cup, also taking the most wins of the season with five, including two doubles at Donington Park and Snetterton.
“We as a group are so proud to launch such an exciting team into British Motorsports, in support of Help for Heroes,” said team founder Peter Thorpe. “It’s a unique idea, forging relationships between drivers and sponsors, offering our partners what is the biggest PR and Marketing platform in British Motorsport.”

The project is similar to the new Infiniti Support Our Paras Racing team, who will also be using the BTCC to help raise awareness for their charity, with both teams looking to have a wounded veteran behind the wheel in the future.
