82 thousands between Thed Björk and Fredrik Ekblom in Falkenberg

There was a mere 82 thousands of a second between Volvo Polestar Racing driver Thed Björk and Fredrik Ekblom in the first Scandinavian Touring Car Championship test at Falkenberg.

Closest to the Volvo duo was local driver Fredrik Larsson, 0.247 seconds behind. Kia newcomer Erik Johansson continues to impress and was fourth fastest, close to half a second behind Björk’s time.

Mattias Andersson was close behind for Dacia Dealer Team in fifth position, setting a lap just 0.074 seconds slower than the Kia driver in fourth.

Richard Göransson was sixth fastest for Team Tidö, with Daniel Haglöf seventh, Erik Jonsson eighth and Emma Kimiläinen ninth. Prince Carl Philip Bernadotte is behind the wheel after missing the previous race due to his honeymoon, setting the tenth fastest time in this session.

The session was completed without any major issues, bar a couple of drivers missing the braking point into the chicane in the first corner, having to take the emergency route.
