James Moffat disqualified from two races at Queensland Raceway

Nissan Motorsport driver James Moffat has been disqualified from the first two races of the V8 Supercars weekend at Queensland Raceway due to a technical infringement.

The reason for the disqualification was an ”engine seal irregularity”, found during a random check by the V8 Supercars stewards.

The team stated that the reason to the infringement was a simple mistake, but the penalty is nonetheless exclusion.

Moffat finished eighth in the first race and 13th in the second and the exclusion from both of those races drops him from 15th to 17th in the championship.
