Robert Dahlgren leads Polestar Cyan Racing 1-2-3 in first test in Skövde

Robert Dahlgren led an all Volvo top three in the first 30-minute test session at the Skövde airport circuit, as the Swedish driver made his return to racing for the first time since the V8 Supercars Championship curtain closer in Sydney 2014.

Dahlgren led the time sheets throughout the session, ended up fastest with a time of 49.870 around the circuit, just under a tenth of a second faster than his team-mate Richard Göransson, both in the Polestar Volvo S60s.

STCC newcomer Scott McLaughlin was quick from the off in the third Volvo, with the V8 Supercars star just over a tenth behind Dahlgren’s time in his first official run in both the S60 and at the circuit.

The Volvos were comfortably up front, with their closest charge coming from Dacia Dealer Team’s Mattias Andersson, who was almost half a second back in his Dacia SE.

Johan Kristoffersson was fastest of the new PWR Racing SEAT Leóns, with the 2012 champion setting the fifth best time, also within a second of the leading Volvo, with team-mate Daniel Haglöf just behind.

Linus Ohlsson was the fastest Saab driver for championship returnees Flash Engineering in seventh, ahead of PWR’s Emma Kimiläinen, with the second Flash Saab of Reuben Kressner over a second off the pace in ninth, with Rasmus Mårthen tenth and last in the newly-built Brovallen Design Ford Mondeo.

The next 30-minute test session takes place at 14:35 CET.
