Emma Kimiläinen disqualified from Q2 at Anderstorp

SEAT driver Emma Kimiläinen has been disqualified from the Q2 qualifying session of STCC at Anderstorp where she was fifth fastest.

The reason for the disqualification was that the SEAT Dealer Team PWR Racing driver drove without a diffuser on her SEAT León.

”The diffusor came loose after the first lap but luckily the first lap was enough for third place in Q1,” said Kimiläinen.

”So I got good points but we had to take the loose diffuser away for the safety reasons for the second qualification. The car was of course difficult to drive (oversteer) but I managed to get P5. But then I was being disqualified from Q2 superpole because we didnt have the diffuser under the car… even though it made the car even more difficult to drive…”

Kimiläinen will start last in the first race and eighth in the second race due to the reversed grid rule, despite being an impressive third fastest in the Q1 session.
