Daniel Haglöf makes it two wins from two races for SEAT

Daniel Haglöf won his first STCC race of 2016 in the final race of the weekend at Anderstorp, making it two wins from two races for SEAT Dealer Team PWR Racing.

Haglöf started fifth but made his way up through the field early on to claim the lead. Volvo driver Richard Göransson started right behind Haglöf and followed him for the entire race. Göransson was close to Haglöf, but never close enough to challenge for the lead and had to settle for second place, seven tenths behind.

Linus Ohlsson started from the reversed grid pole position for Flash Engineering but fell down through the field to finish seventh and parked his Nissan right after taking the chequered flag due to seemingly a technical problem.

Race one winner Johan Kristoffersson fought hard up through the field from tenth position on the grid to claim the last podium finish. The SEAT driver made his way past six drivers, making contact while passing Saab driver Björn Wirdheim but with both remaining on track.

Championship leader Robert Dahlgren seemed to lack pace during the race and finished fifth, defending furiously from SEAT driver Emma Kimiläinen who crossed the line in sixth position.

Volvo’s Prince Carl Philip Bernadotte received a warning for an incident with Wirdheim where the Saab driver went on the inside of the Volvo driver, resulting in a half-spin for Bernadotte.

Dahlgren heads the championship by ten points ahead of his team mate Göransson while Kristoffersson continues to gain in third position, a further 27 points behind Göransson.

STCC continues in three weeks at Falkenberg.
