Johan Kristoffersson and Robert Dahlgren on top in Karlskoga qualifying

SEAT and Volvo drivers Johan Kristoffersson and Robert Dahlgren came out on top from the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship sessions at Karlskoga.

Polestar Cyan Racing’s Dahlgren claimed a vital Q1 P1, providing him with 25 points to the championship and reducing the gap to team-mate Richard Göransson from 47 points to 34.

SEAT driver Kristoffersson was second fastest, a mere 0.068 seconds behind Dahlgren.

Linus Ohlsson impressed in the Flash Engineering-prepared Nissan by claiming third in Q1, 0.273 seconds from pole, despite suffering from back pain.

Championship leader Göransson was fourth fastest, carrying maximum 60 kilos of penalty weight in his Volvo S60.

Mattias Andersson showed improved form for Dacia Dealer Team in fifth position, while Björn Wirdheim rounded off the top six, 0.758 seconds from pole.

Q2 saw SEAT Dealer Team PWR Racing driver Kristoffersson getting revenge and claiming pole position for the first race with 1:04.838, beating Dahlgren with 0.399 seconds.

Ohlsson was again third fastest while Andersson improved to fourth fastest. Göransson claimed fifth position as Daniel Haglöf was sixth fastest for SEAT.

Ford driver Rasmus Mårthen will start from the reversed grid pole position in race two after being tenth fastest in Q1 and will have Emma Kimiläinen next to him.

The first race starts at 13:50 CET tomorrow.
