Top Run Motorsport back at Buriram with new Subaru

Top Run Motorsport will be back for the TCR International Series at Buriram in Thailand with a new Subaru WRX.

”Following the meeting we had in Tokyo with Subaru STi, we have built a brand new car that features a number of technical improvements and some new parts that are better suited to the TCR regulations,” said Renato Russo, team manager.

The team took part in the first two races of the year before opting to focus on development and has since then tested the newly built car with Luigi Ferrara behind the wheel.

”The new car successfully went through an intensive testing programme and was later shipped to Thailand where our technical staff will be assisted by David Rowe of MoTec for the engine management and Hiroshi Nakagawa of TEIN for the dampers,” said Russo.

The original car has also been updated to the new specification and will be raced in Malaysia and Macau.

Ferrara will drive the new Subaru in Thailand while the team has not yet revealed who will drive the second car in Malaysia.
