Alan Gow to step down as MSA chairman at end of the year

Alan Gow will retire as chairman of the UK’s National Sporting Authority (ASN), the MSA at the end of 2017, with the body now looking for a new chairman for 2018.

Gow has been in post since 2006, alongside his role as series director of the British Touring Car Championship, and was also appointed as the head of the FIA Touring Car Commission at the end of 2010.

“The process to identify the next MSA Chairman is under way, arising from confirmation that incumbent Chairman Alan Gow will retire on 31 December 2017, having held the position since 1 January 2006,” said an MSA statement.

“The MSA anticipates announcing the appointment of its next Chairman later this year,” they added.

Gow’s roles at the BTCC and with the FIA aren’t affected by this change.
