Balance of Performance test completed at Adria

The TCR organisation has completed the annual Balance of Performance (BoP) test, held at Adria in Italy.

Drivers Nicola Larini and Andrea Belicchi have driven twelve cars from Alfa Romeo, Audi, Ford, Honda, Kia, Opel, Peugeot, SEAT, Subaru and Volkswagen over two days.

All cars ran to the same base weight of 1,285kg, except for the Peugeot 308 that ran 100kg lighter due to its 1.6 litre engine.

The first day consisted of a five-lap stint to set comparable lap times, while the second and final day was focussed on aerodynamics, by accelerating on the main straight and then rolling in neutral.

All cars were also driven on a rolling road dynamometer to measure power, torque and boost pressure.

The cars are currently being transported to Grugliasco in Italy to be tested in the Pininfarina wind tunnel on Friday.

The results from the BoP test will be published in the middle of March.
