Hugo Valente and Roberto Colciago given 30-second penalties

Craft-Bamboo Racing’s Hugo Valente and M1RA’s Roberto Colciago have both been given 30-second penalties for ignoring the yellow flags in Race 2, demoting them from second and sixth to ninth and 12th respectively.

Valente had crossed the line in second behind team-mate Pepe Oriola, but was deemed to have passed WestCoast Racing’s Giacomo Altoè just after the safety car boards came out at the end of the first lap.

Team-mate Pepe Oriola, who won the race, was also investigated, but was deemed to have made his move just before the boards were shown.

Roberto Colciago was penalised for having overtaken the other Craft-Bamboo SEAT of James Nash into Turn 1 on the final lap while yellow flags were out for the stopped Zele SEAT of Ferenc Ficza.

The revised result means Davit Kajaia now has a six-point lead in the championship over M1RA’s Attila Tassi, while Pepe Oriola is seven points behind.
