Johan Kristoffersson makes it a double at Alastaro

Johan Kristoffersson made it a double victory in the second race at Alastaro in Finland. The Kristoffersson Motorsport driver won in style, over ten seconds ahead of team-mate Fredrik Ekblom in second who climbs to a joint championship lead with Robert Dahlgren who finished third.

Kristoffersson headed the field from lights to flag, but was challenged by Ekblom on the opening lap, with the duo going side-by-side before Kristoffersson was able to get ahead and pull away.

The fight for third was hard between arch rivals Fredrik Blomstedt and Daniel Haglöf. The two made contact, with Haglöf initially coming out on top. But Blomstedt made an impressive move on the outside of Haglöf to claim third, only to retire with a technical issue not far from the finish of the race.

Haglöf held third, but let his team-mate Dahlgren past on the final lap.

Joonas Lappalainen finished fifth, after a hard fight with fellow Finn Antti Buri on the final lap.

Olli Kangas, also from Finland, finished seventh ahead of the Lestrup Racing Team duo of Dennis Strandberg and Albin Wernerlöv. The start of the race saw Wernerlöv out braking himself and hitting Mattias Andersson who dropped to finish 12th.

The second race starts at 15:55 CET.
