Göransson and Björk racing BMW

The Swedish BMW team West Coast Racing today confirmed their driver line up for the STCC 2005. Richard Göransson and Thed Björk will drive all races in two BMW 320i. “Both drivers will get the same material, the same backing and the same status.

“We think it is positive with two equal drivers in the team,” team manager Dick Jönsson-Wigroth said. “For sure its a risk having two quick drivers, but we are willing to take that risk.”

Both drivers are excited about the coming season and the driver line-up. “Its very motivating to have an equal driver in the team. The worst thing is to be outpaced by a team mate. Together we can raise the bar against the others,” STCC champion Richard Göransson said. “This year Richard will have to push very hard,” Thed Björk said with a smile.
