Knutstorp Testing

Richard Göransson continued to stay on top as the STCC-circus went to Knutstorp for further testing. But all eyes were focused on another man, namely Johan Stureson in the all new Peugeot 407. “The car felt very good today, but it´s still too early to say anything as the car is so new,” Johan said.

Stureson drove the third best time overall, only 0.139 seconds behind Göransson. But Stureson drove on old tyres during the whole day.

“I haven´t put on any new tyres. These are from last year,” Johan said with a smile to STCC.se. Completely new and fres tyres would cut a couple of tenths from his time.

The Audi´s were better on pace today compared to the Anderstorp test when they were far behind Göransson. The reason for this is reported to be a newly developed engine. Though the team is very secret about this and released no details during the test.

Volvo were not present at this test but reported that they will test at Knutstorp before the premiere. Mercedes were also unavalible to make it today. The car will most likely not drive on Knutstorp until the first race.
