Anderstorp qualifying heats
Volvo dominated the first qualifying heat today at Anderstorp. Edward Sandström won the race ahead of his team mate Robert Dahlgren. Sandström started from second position behind pole-man Jens Hellström.
Sandström took over first position quite early in the race while his team mate Dahlgren had to fight his way up through the field from sixth position on the grid. Tommy Kristoffersson took third position in his Audi ahead of Rommy Rustad in fourth. Fifth position went to Johan Stureson who made a fine drive in his Peugeot 407 from 12:th position on the grid.
Johan Stureson made the most of his new Peugeot and won the second qualifying heat of the day. Stureson led the race from start to finish despite hard attacks from champion Richard Göransson and Tommy Rustad.
The race ended abruptly for Honda-man Tomas Engström. Tomas went off the track and in to the barriers. His Accord made a short trip up in to the air and landed hard out side the track. It is still unsure if his car will make it to the main race.
The win for Stureson in race two and fifth position in race one means that the pole position for the main race is his. Tommy Rustad will start second. Stay tuned for the main race.
