Super Pole is back

The STCC organisation has decided to scrap the qualifying races. Instead super pole will be back, meaning that each driver has one lap to set their qualifying time.

“It is nice to have Super Pole during saturday, now we get a honest chance to be in the top of each race”, said champion Richard Göransson.

There will still be three races though. The first race line up is decided by the super pole, the second race is decided by the result from the first race except for the top six which will be reversed. And the combined results from the first two races will decide the grid for the final race.

These changes will have immidiate effect and the coming race this weekend at Knutstorp will feature these.
