New owners of STCC confirmed

The STCC will get a new owner. Richard Pålsson takes over from Staffan Svenby and Greger Petterson. Pålsson owns the company Veidec which has been main sponsor of the STCC for several years.

“My heart burns for motorsport and STCC. I will put all my efforts on this challenge”, Pålsson said.

Officially Pålsson takes over the 1:st October and he is eager to do it.

“My heart for motorsport has grown over the years. That STCC manages to get over 16.000 spectators per race is fantastic. It is a good platform to make progress on and I hope we can continue and develop the concept further”, Pålsson said.

Staffan Svenby who has led STCC for a long time welcomes Pålsson.

“We have been working for a long time with STCC and I feel that there is time for new forces to lead Sweden´s largest motorsport event. We welcome Richard and we are convinced that STCC meets an exciting future”, Staffan Svenby said.

One of the major changes that will take place after the owner change is rumoured to be the TV-coverage. Since the national TV-channel SVT stopped broadcasting STCC more than half of the viewers are gone. But any specific plans for this are not revealed yet.
