Plans for Stockholm street race

Plans for a STCC-street race in Stockholm is back again. The new STCC chairman Thomas Lindskog confirms that they have started plans for a 2007 race.

“I think there will be 100.000 spectators,” Lindskog said to Aftonbladet.

Where the race will take place in Stockholm is not set, but Lindskog is looking on the project with great optimism.

“The track doesen´t have to be that long, it is enough with 1.8 kilometres.”

The new owners of STCC, with Veidec-man Rickard Pålsson in the lead, takes over the championship officially the 1:st October. Many new changes are expected for the coming season. See our interview with Pålsson in the STCC news archive.
