Preliminary calendar

A preliminary STCC calendar for the 2006 season has been released. There will be nine races which eight will be done in Sweden and one in Norway (Våler). The season starts at Knutstorp on the 14 may and ends at Mantorp on the 10 september.

One good news is that the new track Gotland Ring will get its first round of STCC. The track isn´t cleared by the FIA yet, but the STCC organisation believes that it will be ready for the season start.

“Gotland is a new track that we hope to do a summer race at, but it is still some work left before we can confirm it. The track must be inspected by the FIA, but we hope that will be done shortly after new year”, Richard Schultz from the STCC organisation said.
