Storckenfeldt to Volvo

Today Alexander Storckenfeldt confirmed the speculations that he will join Polestar Volvo in STCC. Storckenfeldt drove Formula Renault in the UK last year but is looking forward to make his STCC debute.

– It feels great! To get a seat in the strongest championship in Scandinavia is a real challenge. And to drive Volvo for Polestar is a dream drive, Storckenfeldt said.

Alexander Murdzevski from Volvo Motorsport Sweden is very pleased with signing Storckenfeldt.

– This season the fight will really be between the old men and the new hungry talents. With the crew we have now and the make-over we did last year with Volvo we are both the oldest and the newest team in STCC. We are willing to aim long ahead of us and we think that it is very important to get young and sharp talents in Volvos continued progress. Of course we are very happy to have Alexander onboard, Murdzevski said.

The second driver is still unannounced but a hot tip is that Dahlgren remains within the team. Polestar will reveal their new design of the cars in March.
