Difficult penalty weight rules

The penalty weight system seems to be a strange bit for the coming STCC season. According to the Swedish motor magazine “Teknikens Värld”, the rules regarding penalty weights will change from last season.

The minimum weight for all cars will be increased with 20 kilos. Depending on finishing positions in the races each driver will have weight added or reduced. At most it could differ 60 kilos between the heaviest car and the lightest.
