Testing at Gelleråsen

Robin Rudholm showed promising performance today at the second official STCC test, at Gelleråsen. Tomas Engström, who was fastest during the last test at Anderstorp, held quickest time for almost the entire day. But as the day started to get to an end Rudholm overtook him.

– This was really important, before you start testing its hard to tell where you are compared to the others. Now we know that we are quick, Rudholm said.

Rudholms regular team mate Duncan Huisman was not present today. Instead Justin Law drove his car to get more test data.

Audi took positions three and four with Ekblom third and Björk fourth. Team manager Tommy Kristoffersson was very pleased with the performance.

– We feel very strong for this season, we have a completely new car and two cars that will be updated both engine- and chassie-wise, Kristoffersson said.

Current champion Richard Göransson was also present at the test, but not driving a car. Göransson has signed for Flash Engineering this season in a BMW 320si E90.

– We are still waiting for some components, we hope that our cars will be ready for the Knutstorp test on Thursday, Göransson said.
