Dahlgren takes pole position
Robert Dahlgren took pole position today at Gelleråsen. After being fifth in the first qualifying session the Volvo-man took pole with 0.122 down to Rudholm in second position. Previous pole-man Tomas Engström rounded out top three in his Honda Accord.
The Volvo-team was very happy with Dahlgren’s pole.
– It is a great feeling. But still, the race is tomorrow and then its a completely new job, team manager Christian Dahl said.
Another super pole driver that didn’t share the happy faces from Volvo was Janne “Flash” Nilsson. As he was driving on his warm up lap the gearbox failed. He was unable to complete his lap, but will start from eight position, last of the super pole drivers.
The race starts tomorrow at 15.00 CET.
