Björk on pole at Gelleråsen

Thed Björk claimed yet another pole position today at Gelleråsen. His time of 1:08.191 was 0.159 quicker than his closest rival Tomas Engström. Carl Rosenblad took third place ahead of Fredrik Ekblom and reigning champion Richard Göransson.

“Fantastic, it was a good lap and it is really nice to be on pole again,” Björk said.

Tomas Engström was perhaps even more happy than Björk. Sixth gear in his gearbox was gone and he had only five gear to use, bouncing on the revlimiter down the start/finish straight. Claiming second place despite the problem was something that Engström was overjoyed with.

“Fantastic! Tomorrow we will fix the sixth gear and let the others have something to race about!,” Engström said.

Robert Dahlgren wasn’t that happy after his lap. He got out in the gravel on his quick lap and effectively ruined his chances for a top position.

The race starts at 15.00 today, stay tuned!
