Drivers Club Sweden formed

The drivers of the Swedish Touring Car Championship have decided to form “Drivers Club Sweden”. This is for the drivers to get more impact on the decisions in the series. “We do this so we can effectively bring up questions that concern the drivers in one way or the other,” chairman Richard Göransson said.

All drivers currently competing in the series are in the newly formed club. They are going to meet and discuss matters and join their opinions.
“We have got incredible feedback on our initiative. This will ease the communication between drivers and the ones that we want to bring our opinions to,” Göransson said.

“Now we can calmly discuss matters that must be bettered or changed and bring forward this in an effective way. We can have a tight dialogue with the ones in charge and they know when we bring forward an opinion that we have discussed it together before. They won’t have to run back and forth to listen to all drivers,” Göransson continued.

Drivers Club Sweden was founded by Richard Göransson, Robert Dahlgren and Carl Rosenblad. Göransson and Dahlgren will function as spokespersons, while Rosenblad will take care of the questions regarding safety.

“We won’t discuss prestige questions that some drivers have personal interest in like standing or rolling start. We will have a continous number of meetings with the STCC organisation for all the questions that we have on our agenda,” Göransson said.
