Stureson hunting podium finish

Peugeot-driver Johan Stureson is looking for a podium finish at his home track Knutstorp in the south of Sweden this weekend. This season has not gone as good as Johan hoped for. His best position so far is fourth and he is currently eight in the champiohsip.

“When you look back at the season one might get frustrated, but during a race weekend you can’t have thoughts like that. Then you must focus on doing good results,” Johan said.

Last time STCC visited Knutstorp in the south of Sweden, Stureson qualified second but finished seventh.
“I had a good starting position, but I lost two places in the start and another two when Göransson and Sanström spun in front of me,” Stureson said to STCC.se

Previous years have provided good results on this track. He has one win and four podiums.
“Of course it is extra nice to do well on my home track,” Stureson continued.

The goal for Stureson for the race is clear.
“We haven’t got a podium finsih yet. It is time now, it couldn’t be a better place to do it than here. As for the championship, the goal is to get up to fourth position. It is only seven points to it.”
