Fiona Leggate pulls out

Fiona Leggate is forced to pull out of the British Touring Car Championship. The reason for the retirement is lack of funds. Leggate drove a Vauxhall Astra of the older spec’. At first it looked like Knockhill would be the only round she would miss.

But the decision came yesterday that she will pull out from the rest of the season, something that the team manager Marvin Humphries does not like.

“Fiona could have gone well at Brands and she had her best ever BTCC result at Silverstone last year, we are very disappointed,” Humphries said to Autosport.

The car could reappear in the two final races with another driver behind the wheel.
