The penultimate race weekend at Knutstorp has begun. The first test session is completed and BMW-driver Richard Göransson was fastest. He lapped the small and twisty circuit in 1:01.706 which was 0.227 seconds faster than his closest rival Fredrik Ekblom.

The weather is sunny and quite warm at Knutstorp today. As usual on this track the times are very close, top 14 cars were within one second with Göransson at the top and Rosenblad 14:th.

Fredrik Ekblom in second place led an Audi 2-3-4 with team boss Tommy Kristoffersson third and championship leader Thed Björk in fourth. Volvo-driver Robert Dahlgren rounded out top five 0.4 seconds behind Göransson.

The race for the title is on. It all stands between Björk, Göransson and Huisman or Kristoffersson Motorsport, Flash Engineering and West Coast Racing.

At the moment West Coast Racing is a bit behind with Rudholm in seventh and Huisman eight. Huisman made many changes to the front suspension of his car during this test. But it is still early days of the race weekend. There will be one more test later today before we move on to the race day tomorrow. Qualifying starts at 12.35 CET while the race starts at 15.00 CET as usual.
