Unlucky Tomas Engström

Tomas Engström, Honda, started the STCC season strongly. He held pole position of the premiere and took third place in the race followed by a second place in the second race. But after that the problems started for the Honda-driver.

Tomas Engström has gone up and down during this season.
“We had three engine failures, three punctures in the same race at Falkenberg and at Gelleråsen we had lots of problems in the pit. That is something you can’t afford if you want to be in the top,” Engström said.

Currently Engström is seventh in the championship. He has four points up to fourth placed Fredrik Ekblom and the goal is high for the last race at Mantorp.
“There is nothing but a podium finish that is ok, the entire team is up for a fine ending of the season.”
