David Björk is Rookie Of The Year

David Björk is awarded “Rookie of the year” by STCC and their media partner Expressen. The decision was made by journalists Jan-Erik Berggren and Bengt Bengtzon. The decision by the jury was an easy one according to them.

“No doubt about it. He has gone from Radical and Formula Renault to top ten of STCC. Björk has every chance to become a new Richard Göransson, Fredrik Ekblom or even a Mattias Ekström,” Berggren said.

The prize will be awarded at the Swedish Motorsports Show on the 25:th of November. Björk was very satisfied with getting this award.

“It is a great honor for me. I am very pleased that we were able to be in the top right from the start. Sadly we have had some misfortune as well with fourth position within reach at Falkenberg when I got a puncture,” Björk said and added:
“We have had a good team and a co-operation that has worked flawless.”

David Björk drove a BMW 320i for Swedish legend Picko Troberg who has brought up talents like Rickard Rydell and Mattias Ekström.
