Sandström leaves Flash Engineering

Edward Sandström leaves Flash Engineering for the coming season. Sandström joined the team last season and drove a BMW 320i E46 along side Nilsson and Göransson. Sadly Sandström crashed heavily at Mantorp Park, totally ruining the remaining part of his season as the car was damaged beyond repairing. For the 2007 season Sandström has been offered to drive Porsche Carrera Cup for Flash Engineering and another STCC team has offered him a drive, but both were turned down by him.

“I feel that it is better to try to run my own team, but I have nothing settled yet,” Sandström said.

Flash Engineering team boss Jan Nilsson is sad over Sandström leaving the team.

“It is a pity that he will not take my offer. But I wish him the best of luck in the future,” Nilsson said.
