Volvo signs Dahlgren for two years
Volvo increases their involvement in the Polestar-team and signs Robert Dahlgren for another two years. As previously announced Volvo will run their cars on E85 Bio-ethanol. For the coming season Polestar takes over engine development. Number one driver Dahlgren was very excited over the decisions.
“I am very pleased with the outcome. Volvo and Polestar offers the best development potential for me as driver during the coming two years,” Dahlgren said.
Dahlgren got an offer to drive V8 Supercar in Australia plus an offer from another STCC-team, both of which he turned down for Volvo and Polestar. Teamboss Christian Dahl was pleased over Dahlgren’s decision to take their offer.
“I am very happy and it feels very good that I can tell our engineers that Robert will continue. We have got a bigger budget and better conditions from Volvo for next year. It feels like we have things where we want them to be,” Dahl said.
As for the second driver in Volvo/Polestar – nothing is announced. There have been indications from the team earlier that Alexander Storckenfeldt would continue. However, the team has tested new young drivers that could be up for the drive.
