STCC test in Spain, Calafat

Flash Engineering, West Coast Racing and Polestar Racing have arrived to the Spanish Calfat-track south of Barcelona. Audi team Kristoffersson Motorsport will join the three tomorrow as they are at Barcelona today, testing with Audisport. No official time keeping is held at Calafat, but the top times are reported to be low 1:34 or even 1:33-times.

“It feels good to finally be back on track. The car is running excellent and we are making good progress,” team owner and Flash Engineering driver Janne “Flash” Nilsson said.

The weather today is partly cloudy, very windy and with a temperature of around 17 degrees celcius. The Calafat-track is very twisty, a suitable test track for the STCC-teams as the tracks in Sweden are similair.

“True, many corners are similair to the ones we have in the different Swedish tracks. Sadly though the track surface is very slippery and in quite bad condition, but we will make the most of it,” Nilsson continued.

Stay tuned to TouringCarTimes as we will continue to report from the three test days here in Spain!
