Calafat STCC test day two
The second day of testing at Calafat is completed. A sunny but very windy day is over and a lot of laps have been completed by all three teams. Lap times have started to go down towards the 1:32 range for all teams and drivers. Volvo-driver Robert Dahlgren was one of them and is pleased with his day.
“For sure, there is a lot to do but we have made good progress. I am pleased with the car, it looks the same as last year, but almost everything is new,” Dahlgren said.
There were a few off track excursions during the day. Storckenfeldt went out in to the gravel trap, Göransson spun on the track and Rudholm’s car failed on the track after a hard encounter with a cerb.

The Audi Kristoffersson Motorsport trailer arrived during the afternoon. The team will take part in the session tomorrow and will continue to test Thursday and Friday while the other teams leave.
Flash Engineering introduced their new design today. One of the most striking changes of the design is that the cars have a red rear. Flash Engineering driver Richard Göransson was very pleased by the new look.
“I think it looks stunning. The design is much more harmonic now and our sponsors get better exposure,” Göransson said.

Stay tuned for the final report after the final session tomorrow!
