Stippler looking for good results
STCC-newcomer Frank Stippler is hungry for more in the Swedish Touring Car Championship. The German impressed at the premiere race when he took pole position before the team forgot to put enough fuel in the car and he had to start from the back.
The STCC moves on to Knutstorp this weekend, a track that Stippler likes.
“It reminds me of the old Nürburgring, and that suits me well,” said Stippler.
But Stippler is not the only one wanting better results this weekend as title contenders Göransson, Rudholm and Ekblom were left without points from Sturup.
“It is still too early to predict anything. I expect a hard race, but the team is in good shape for the weekend.”
As for the two clumsy mistakes from the team, no fuel in Stippler’s car and rain tyres on the grid for Björk – team boss Kristoffersson is confident for good results this time.
“We have spoken about the events at Sturup and focused on the positive things. We have good cars, good drivers and a good time, now it is time for action,” Kristoffersson said.
