Dahlgren penalised after Knutstorp
The STCC-organisation has decided to penalise double race winner Robert Dahlgren of Volvo because of an incident with privateer Tobias Tegelby at Knutstorp.
“If you look at the TV-images Dahlgrens manouvre does not look good,” said race director Johnny Haraldsson.
The penalty is that Dahlgren will be moved down five positions in the qualifying at Mantorp.
Dahlgren caught up with Tegelby after his pitstop with both WCR BMW’s of Rudholm and Ekblom right behind him. The Volvo-driver pushed Huggare off the track and in to the wall. Huggare’s car was badly damaged after the incident.
Voices have been raised that the penalty is weak, leaving the door open for drivers to use dirty tricks.
