Fredrik Ekblom tops Falkenberg test

Fredrik Ekblom topped the official STCC test at Falkenberg today. The STCC will run at Falkenberg this weekend for the seventh round of the year. As usual this year the weather played a big role, with rain during the day and a drying track towards the end.
“The goal is to win and maintain the championship lead. It is nice to be fastest today but it was very difficult with rain, drying track, rain and drying track again,” said Ekblom.

David Björk in the BMW 320i was second fastest, setting his time in the final minute on slicks.
“We had some problems during the first part of the day, but in the end the car was very good,” said Björk.

Third fastest was STCC-newcomer Nicklas Karlsson in the Chevrolet Lacetti.
“Despite the difficult conditions we got a lot of data today. It was very important for the team to get this test day,” said Karlsson.
