Fredrik Lestrup ok after crash
Fredrik Lestrup crashed hard during the last STCC race at Falkenberg. When Lestrup was about to lap Viktor Huggare a misunderstanding caused a big crash with only five laps to go. The red flags were brought out and Lestrup was taken to a hospital.
“It was a hard rash. I destroyed my steering wheel when the car landed on the ground without wheels. I had some back pain so the doctors checked me up,” said Lestrup.
The medical staff found nothing wrong and Lestrup was sent home after one night.
“It was good that this crash came before the summer break. Now the team has some extra time to fix the car and I can get some rest,” said Lestrup.
Viktor Huggare who also was involved in the incident was stranded in the gravel trap with suspension damage but was ok otherwise.
