Opel team gets engine dispensation

The Swedish Touring Car Championship officials have decided to give Opel Team Sweden and their Opel Astra a engine dispensation. The dispensation will be in form of a increased compression ration in the engine. Instead of 10:1 Opel are allowed to run their engines with 12:1.

The Opel team has struggled during the past STCC season with a number of blown engines. Surprisingly the team does not have a co-operation with BTCC Vauxhall team Tripple Eight that run their Vectras based on the same engines.

The dispensation will take effect immideately.
