Dahlgren takes Knutstorp pole

Robert Dahlgren made the most of his Super Pole lap at Knutstorp today. The Volvo-man took pole with a time of 1:01.425 around the twisty track in the south of Sweden.
“Great! We have worked so hard for this. I am very excited for the race and I am going to go flat out,” said Dahlgren.

Second was the German Frank Stippler in his Audi A4, only 0.042 seconds behind.
“It was not a perfect lap, but ok. To be in top three is very nice. I think the race will be good,” said Stippler.

Championship leader Fredrik Ekblom will start from third position ahead of his championship rival Richard Göransson – both driving BMW’s.
“I have made too many mistakes this year in the Super Poles. But this time it was ok and I am pleased with third position,” said Ekblom.

Göransson says that he is going to give Ekblom a though match today.
“Every point counts now, and I am not going to give Ekblom an easy time. I am pleased with my time keeping in mind that I have the heaviest car of the field,” said Göransson.
