Göransson dominates Sturup test
Richard Göransson was almost a second faster than anyone else at a wet Sturup Raceway in the south of Sweden. But his championship rival and leader Fredrik Ekblom was second with Robert Dahlgren third.
“The car felt very nice and it really suits this track. I think we will have dry weather for the qualifying, but thats no problem for us”, said Göransson.
Peugeot-driver Johan Stureson was fourth quickest and pleased with the speed in his 407.
“I think we are getting there, the car was good here earlier this year when I finished third,” said Stureson.
New bio-ethanol BMW’s of Janne “Flash” Nilsson and Robin Rudholm followed each other in seventh and eight position.
“I had some problems when I was using half throttle, but BMW Motorsport are working on it now and I have full confidence for the qualifying and race,” said “Flash”
The qualifying starts at 12.30 CET.
