Audi team wants to build new A4

The Swedish Audi team Kristoffersson Motorsport are planning to build new Audi A4 for the coming season. The current A4-model is due to be replaced this autumn and team boss Tommy Kristoffersson explains.
“We are in need for new material, that is for sure. We meet drivers and cars in STCC that hold absolute world class. If we are going to be able to fight in the top, we need to have the right conditions,” said Kristoffersson to STCC.se.

The decision to build new cars are up to many different instances. Audi Sport Germany, Audi Marketing of Germany, Audi Sweden and KMS all have to decide together.
“We have the skill to build the cars and we have gathered a lot of data during the recent years that are very valueable. Audi Sport will build the cars but it must be backed by Audi Marketing in Germany and Sweden that will finance the deal. We would very much like to build new cars and we are going to work hard for it,” said Kristoffersson.

If the decision comes to build the cars, Kristoffersson feels that the decision needs to be taken soon.
“I believe they will build the cars rather quickly. You build them in the computer first and get a clear picture on performance before the production begins. But if you are going to be on the grid in April with new cars you have to be up and running in November,” Kristoffersson said.
